Invisible Fences

2014

If dogs domesticated themselves, then humans certainly took further steps toward shaping dogs into something else –something that bears the marks of human intervention, design, and fantasy. Dogs became tools and machines, tinkered with, programmed, and deployed. Dogs patrol borders, and cross them, existing somewhere between domestic and wild, animal and machine, object and individual.
