Ecology of Invasions

2013
The legacy of Charles Elton's 1958 book The Ecology of Invasions by Animals and Plants sets the tone for contemporary, war-rhetoric approaches to "invasive species" control. This project gives form to the militaristic language surrounding invasive species through a nexus of information about rats and mice in war, invasive snakes in Guam, and successful, nonviolent, pigeon management.
